Explore Webdom Datalogger 1.5

The Webdom Datalogger 1.5 is appropriate to control PV installations where there are devices with different protocols. The Datalogger has 5 serial ports, each can support many inverters and string boxes of the same manufacturer. We use this product to monitor high power monitoring systems.

The Webdom 1.5 can also be used for smaller installations. However for installations of more than 100MW the price of Webdom Datalogger 1.5 is proportional to the nominal power to monitor. Visual Webdom software is included. The software allows you to control inverter channels, download historical data, display graphs and make comparisons. Also, if we add a radiation sensor the software calculates the PR of the installation.

Below you will find various application notes for the Data Logger 1.5. Each has been developed according to different needs and environments.

Company Meter Monitoring

Because the distance many times is not possible to have a communications cable between both ends of the company electric meter. In this case we can make a radio interconnection between Webdom Datalogger 1.5 and the electric meter.

In this case, we can remotely read the content of the meter using standard protocols Modbus-RTU / TCP, IEC870-5-102 or IEC62056-21. If the counter is not compatible with any of these protocols, we will read the meter pulse.

Interconnection of all status signals of transformation substation of the PV system to the Datalogger Webdom 1.5. We can also measure production / medium voltage consumption with voltage transformers (VT's) and intensity (CTs) connected to one or more network analyzers (Webdom Satellite). At the same time, we can take readings of the official company counter.

Monitoring and control of weather station and video cameras

Monitoring solar radiation sensors, pyranometers (First Class, Second Class, Secondary Standard), sensors speed / wind direction, rain gauges, pressure sensors, ambient sensors / humidity, temperature sensors photovoltaic panel, etc. Sensors with digital interface can be connected directly to Webdom Datalogger 1.5.

Sensors with analog output must be connected to an intermediate device to convert to digital (eg. Webdom 2.0, Webdom 3.0). Video cameras can easily integred to Visual Webdom monitoring software. The software supports various video streamming standards, and remote position control of pan/tilt cameras using Pelco Protocol.

Control Center Regulation

Control Center and power regulation: Webdom Datalogger 1.5 allows you control the inverters power from the instructions received by the control center.

Recepción de consignas: Nexus Center control writes to Webdom Datalogger 1.5 (via Modbus protocol - TC P) the setpoint received from REE. The setpoint is the % of maximum power photovoltaic inverters must work. 

Power control: Webdom Datalogger 1.5 modifies the channel maximum power of all PV inverters sending the order to the SMA Webbox boxes through JSON-RPC protocol (Javascript Object Notation-Remote Procedure Call).

TTR: Webdom Datalogger 1.5 reads the company electric meter channels (Active Power, Reactive Power and 3-Phase Voltage). By IEC870-5-102 and RS232 protocol using an optical sensor. Webdom Datalogger 1.5 reads the status of the main switch of the installation via digital input. Nexus read the Webdom Datalogger 1.5 values of the company meter and the general switch of the plant.
